Shadows by Joe Pease

The predatory Bird presents this fantastic short by Joe Pease presenting an entirely unique way of seeing skateboarding. The title supposedly is inspired by this essay on Peter Pan. I'm sure the big wigs and fat cats will get their greasy mits all over this concept before too long and rape it of all it's worth. Remember Joe did it first!

TVRBO HDA R.I.P.

I have learned today that the OG Funk and style master Tvrbo has sadly passed on to higher plains. This guy was not only one of the finest and most colorful of painters, character and style king but also a really lovely humble guy. His pieces and approach to walls were second to none putting him at the top of my list for influential writers. His absence will leave a hole and without a doubt he will be sorely missed. Big up Tvrbo may you continue to rip in paradise, our thoughts go out to his family and friends in this sad time. To celebrate his work here is a selection of what he left behind:

Getnloose has an interview with Tvrbo from 2010 HERE.

Skydive From Space Update 5

It's definitely on this year!! YES!
From the Red Bull Stratos website yesterday:
"The jump will happen sometime this year. I know you’re thinking, “how am I going to mark it on my calendar with a vague answer like that?” I can tell you the team has made really good progress in a matter of months, but they need to run more tests. We’re launching out of Roswell, NM so the weather will be another determining factor. Believe me, when it’s time to launch we’ll give a big shout out."

Oval Brewing Company - A Kickstarter Campaign

So I thought I'd help out a really good cause, it is for beer after all!
I guess this is aimed at all of our US readers, in particular all of you from OH...IO!!
I had the pleasure of trying one of OBC's early recipes and also meeting Adam last year. I've dabbled in home brewing and possibly some of you have too, but have you ever dreamt about owning your own brewery?

The Oval Brewing Company is trying to reach a target of $30,000 by April 1st 2012 to be able to get funding from the Kickstarter funding platform. By reaching this goal, they can take the big step into production where beer can flow freely and the world will be a better place. They are halfway there as I write this and getting involved does bring rewards. Check out their Kickstarter page for the lowdown on how you can get involved.

Inkling by Wacom

COOL, I think i just found my birthday present, lol!

The Inkling digital sketch pen captures a digital likeness of your work while you sketch with its ballpoint tip on any sketchbook or standard piece of paper.

In addition to capturing your sketch, stroke by stroke, Inkling allows you to create layers in digital files while you sketch on paper. Digital files are transferred to your computer using the Inkling Sketch Manager software, and later, exported to applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

For US$199 its a definite must have I think. Out mid-September.

Check out the video below.
